Storeroom Warehouse Associate
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Friday–Sunday | 5:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Paid Lunch)
Training Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (2–3 weeks)
Position Summary
The Storeroom Warehouse Associate is an individual contributor responsible for supporting daily warehouse and storeroom operations at a client location. This role follows established procedures to receive, handle, store, track, and distribute materials accurately and safely. The position is customer-facing and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and basic computer proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and complete shipments by picking, packing, and loading orders based on production schedules, customer orders, work orders, or requisitions
- Receive and unload incoming freight; inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, and discrepancies against invoices
- Accurately sort, label, move, and store materials in designated warehouse locations (racks, shelves, bins)
- Maintain organized storage areas to optimize warehouse space and efficiency
- Pick and stage materials using pick tickets (paper or electronic) and verify product quantities
- Load outbound trucks and secure freight to prevent damage during transit
- Consolidate freight and coordinate shipping methods as required
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (training provided)
- Enter and maintain inventory data in computerized systems; update records and respond to inventory inquiries
- Assist with inventory counts and stock level maintenance
- Provide customer service support in a warehouse/storeroom environment
- Follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision or management
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous warehouse or storeroom experience preferred but not required
- Forklift experience helpful; training will be provided
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including email and spreadsheet usage
- Ability to read work orders, pick tickets, and shipping documents
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials throughout the shift
- Steel-toe shoes with leather uppers required
Dress Code
- Solid-colored shirt with minimum 4” sleeves
- Solid-colored pants or blue denim jeans
- Full leather, fully enclosed shoes (no canvas or cloth footwear)
