Working Hours: Day Shift | 10:00 – 22:30 (3×12-hour shifts)
Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

Duration: Contract Assignment


Position Summary

The MRI Technologist performs general MRI examinations in a community hospital setting, supporting musculoskeletal, neurological, and body imaging. This role involves working with adult patient populations in acute care, outpatient, and emergency/trauma settings. The technologist operates GE MRI scanners and collaborates with clinical teams to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety. Some anesthesia-supported cases are performed; no biopsies or interventional procedures are conducted in MRI.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations of the abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, musculoskeletal system, and spine
• Conduct advanced imaging procedures including MRA, MRV, MRCP, diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, cine studies, and post-processing techniques
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs
• Apply isolation precautions and maintain patient safety standards
• Operate GE MRI scanners and associated monitoring equipment
• Perform image post-processing including MIP, MPR, ADC mapping, and subtraction
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and anesthesia teams as needed
• Accurately document procedures and communicate using SBAR
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and PACS for image management

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Prior travel experience required
• ARRT (MR) and ARRT (R) certifications
• BLS certification
• Experience in adult acute care, adult outpatient, and ER/Trauma settings
• Proficiency with GE MRI equipment and PACS
• Strong experience with contrast administration and peripheral IV starts
• Expertise across abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, musculoskeletal, and spine imaging
• Knowledge of advanced MRI techniques including cine, diffusion, gradient echo, and angiography studies

Skills and Certifications [note: bold skills and certification are required]
